All classes are designed to encourage creativity and independent knitting, as such there is a very strong emphasis on reading, understanding and interpreting patterns for all classes.
Information:
Classes are small - limited to 6 people per class. For some classes our Assistant Teacher will be helping new students. Fees do not include materials and can be purchased at spotlight. Everyone registered for class will receive 10% for all knitting materials at Spotlight for duration of course.
When
Classes are on Mondays and Thursdays 6.30, at Spotlight, Plaza Singapura, Orchard Road, Singapore.

Basic knitting
This is where you begin your knitting adventures! You will make 2 projects a tissue pouch and a bobble hat. You will learn the basic stitches, correct technique, interpreting simple patterns and increase and decreasing stitches.
Prerequisite: none

Basic crochet
Learn the basic stitches and techniques. Crochet is complements knitting beautifully. It allows you to create lacey borderers and embellish your knitting projects. Learn to make lace and borders. You will also make a small bag or table runner for this class.

Intermediate knitting A: Baby Knits
Learn to make booties, and baby sweaters. You will learn the fundamentals of lace, lace edgings and panels, as well as how to place panels. This class requires more will ensure that you can read an interprete patterns and charts. You will also learn how to interprete Japanese knitting patterns.

Intermediate Knitting B: Knitting: Summer top
Make a shrug and learn how to read and interprete Japanese knitting patterns.

Advance Knitting A: Accessories
The circular knitting class, learn to use double pointed knitting needls and "magic loop" techniques . 3 projects for this class: a lacey hat, a pair of socks, a pair of fingerless gloves. Learn how to use colour in knitting, stripes and intarsia colour knitting.

Advance Knittng B: Design 101
This class is set up for people who want to learn to design and create knitwear and accessories. It is an open series of lessons to help you explore design. To start you off, we will learn to design and make a scarf, using invisible joining of yarn. We also learn cable and how to incorporate this into a totebag. You will create a scarf and a bag for this class.
